Why are there two prices?

The regular price is for those who need a little extra help purchasing what they need. The retail price is for those that want to help others be able to have access to what they need. You can learn more about the difference and why we have this in our “How it Works!” section. 

DO I HAVE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF INCOME WHEN I SHOP THE DISCOUNTED PRICE?

No proof is needed. Simply select which price you would like to pay when checking out. 

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

The Market at SECOM is currently open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9am-3pm and Fridays 9am-12pm.

WHY ARE YOU OPEN LIMITED HOURS?

The Market at SECOM is a small scale store that continues to grow. Currently our hours reflect the size of our operation and number of consistent shoppers.

BESIDES SHOPPING, ARE THERE OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT OR INVEST IN THE MARKET?

Absolutely! There are many ways to support The Market at SECOM by investing your skills and abilities, sharing our posts on the SECOM Facebook page , donating to The Market operations, and more. Please contact The Market at SECOM Coordinator if you would like invest in any of these ways.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR PRODUCTS?

Michigan! All of our products are local, Michigan grown products. We value the local food systems and therefore we only purchase from here. The food is fresher, grown and picked by Michiganders, and goes right into the local economy. If you have questions about where exactly we purchase from, reach out to us. Oils and Vinegars are an exception to Michigan made.

ARE ALL YOUR PRODUCTS YOU SELL ORGANIC?

Almost all of our products are organic. However, we do purchase from a few farms that use non-organic pest control as the last option if there’s potential of total crop failure. If you would like to know if your order contains one of these products please contact The Market at SECOM Coordinator

WHY DO YOU HAVE ITEMS IN YOUR STORE THAT ARE NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE?

To have a smooth shopping experience on our website, there are items that we sell in store but not online. This may be because we are trying out a new item, have discounted older produce, or very small quantities of a product. You are welcome to take a look at what else is in store upon your pickup. If you are retail shopper, items in the store will have 15% added to their price. 

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS OR REFUNDS?

We do not offer returns for items purchased. If you have an issue or concern with a product please contact The Market at SECOM Coordinator.
